RYCO helping indigenous youth in the top end

2012-11-01 05:08 by Admin

Ryco-youth-girlsFor the past three years RYCO has partnered with AFLNT's Youth Girls Programs to provide an under-16's AFL competition for indigenous girls in the Northern Territory. RYCO and local distributor Flame Control Industries have co-sponsored this event.

This year, over 150 girls from top-end communities competed in 14 teams in a 2-day event, providing the girls with an opportunity usually only afforded to the boys. The girls not only have fun, but learn useful life skills to help them achieve. Twenty outstanding girls were selected from the group this year as the RYCO 24•7 All-Stars and awarded special guernsies for their proven talent.

RYCO are proud to sponsor a program that provides such opportunity and enjoyment for indigenous girls from remote communities.

For more information on the program, see AFLNT website.
